Personally, if I have something IRL come up urgently enough that I don't have time to warn the squad that I'm going to need five minutes away, I have higher priorities than being kicked. Still, I think that, even from the game's extant and very basic metrics (the reported fire accuracy on weapons with punch through or splash damage is kind of a joke), it would be possible to detect whether someone is AFK for an extended period, and remove them from the squad so they're at least not in the way. I think my initial tone might have been overly harsh. For example, I or my wife often have to go AFK for a few minutes because of delivery food arriving. At 2AM or so I was watching for the 1,000,000th time a video about. To be clear, this isn't necessarily meant as a universal condemnation of such players, because sometimes IRL stuff comes up. Firstly, this Idle Heroes Tier List of November 2020 contains all of the essential. If they haven't moved more than 50m in 5 minutes or fired a shot/made an attack/used an ability, that's pretty clearly AFK, and rather than just stop receiving affinity, they should probably be auto-kicked from the squad so someone who actually wants to play can join it. Everyone sometimes check forums, look up music in the background for example, but in addition to that, you need to check on ESO again ASAP, or else you'll be kicked and have to log back in again, and again and again. It's also possible to measure "this person just plain isn't contributing", though that's a bit more complicated to implement. ZOSGinaBruno, This is actually really important, and should be looked into. The inactivity timer NEEDS to be extended to a minimum of 1 hour, maybe even 2 hours.
